Okay, okay, okay I have to do a Fanny Pak rant really quick...

I truly love FP, they are my favorite crew this season. Their style is a mix of contemporary, jazz funk, and hip hop...my three favorite styles of dance! With that being said it truly kills me when people bash them for no good reason. I completely understand if their style doesn't appeal to everyone, and that's fine. It's great when people have their own opinions! That's what makes us interesting. The thing is, when you are expressing your opinion about a certain person or group you gotta remember to RESPECT them. Respect the fact that Fanny Pak has the guts to get in front of America on national television trying to entertain us and earn our vote, battling sore muscles, various other injuries, bad camera angles, and huge amounts of stress. Every single crew is in this situation. Every single crew is fighting. Today I read a comment that literally said that FP shouldn't win ABDC because they have some members in their group that are gay, and that a "gay group" shouldn't be representing America. That just ticked me off on so many levels, because yes, there are members in this group that are gay, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. In my opinion, a person should have the freedom to love whoever they choose (unless you're like a 40 year old who's in love with someone who's 5...but you know what I mean). Besides does a person's orientation prevent them from dancing well? In this sort of competition, if you can dance well, then WHO CARES if you like men or if you like women or if you like both. A person's orientation doesn't define who they are. Their personality and the decisions a person makes (their actions) is what defines them. Finally, I just wanted to say that whichever group you are rooting for on ABDC probably wouldn't want you to go around and bash their competition. That's not the kind of fans they want representing them. I have this feeling that backstage all the crews are good friends (on Cara from FP's MySpace she always has pictures of her with members of Super Cr3w, SoReal, and Supreme Soul).

This is way too long, but this is how I feel. Whether you like or dislike Fanny Pak, is up to you, but remember to respect all the crews and what they're trying: spread the love of dance!
